Savory Beets

Yields: 6 Servings

Beets made by sauteeing in onions, honey and cloves.

Directions:

In large skillet, sauté onion in butter over medium heat until softened. Add honey, vinegar, salt and cloves; cook and stir until mixture begins to boil. Add beets; simmer to reduce liquid and until thoroughly heated (about 10 minutes).

Ingredients:

¼ cup chopped onion

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

6 Tablespoons honey

¼ cup wine vinegar

Salt to taste

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

2 cans (16 oz.) sliced beets, drained
